The Review

Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder In Medium

I finally caved and picked up the coveted KA sculpting powder to add to the cheek stash! It took me a while to get the hang of it because it’s heavily pigmented. Things can go really wrong if you don’t know what you’re doing. It’s in new and improved packaging which If I’m going to be honest, I prefer the old compact. The older version had more product in it but the pan was also much larger so you were able to use a nice average sized brush with it. In my opinion the new pan is the size of a larger eyeshadow and the only brush I can use with ease is my Nars Yachiyo blush brush because of its tapered end. It could or could not be a deal breaker but I’m just a very critical bblogger and notice everything!

This is such a great unique contouring shade that’s universally flattering for everyone. It’s blendable, pigmented, has the perfect mix of cool grey and brown tones to mimic shadows. Using a light application is key because you can look like you have a beard or like me add to the hairiness that already exists! It’s super natural looking again if you don’t go overboard with it. I am about an NC35 and it shows up on my skin tone just fine. I love to pair bold cheekbones with fresh dewy skin and a winged liner! I’ve been using this every day since ordering it and I’m glad that I decided to invest in it. You can see it in action in my get ready with me video here. Chiseled cheekbones in a pan, yes please!
