Tom Ford Spring 2014

SugarDuneswatchTom Ford’s Spring line features their new Lip Color Sheers in 8 different shades. It’s packaged in the white and gold casing which was their original packaging. They offer a sheer wash of color packed with hydrating ingredients such as Vitamin C and E, Shea Butter, and other natural oils. Unfortunately I couldn’t try them on in person due to the nearest counter being almost 2hrs away so I placed and order with what looks to be the safest shade for me. Sweet Spot is a true peach with orange undertones. It’s a very creamy formula and feels very nice on the lips! The color payoff is incredible considering it’s called a “sheer” lip color. Sweet Spot is one of the shades that is a cream finish where some of the other shades contain a bit of shimmer in them. Wear time is pretty impressive at 5-6 hours, it almost leaves a wash of color once it settles in and the moisture subsides.

They also released 4 nail polishes and the most appealing to me was of course the nude shade. Sugar Dune is a flesh tone nude with pink undertones. To get an opaque finish you’ll need 3 thin coats of this polish. It applies smoothly for me and the formula itself is fast drying! This is such a great shade for a clean fresh look and I have no nude like it in my collection.

You can see the whole collection here and here on Raeview’s site to decide what shades are best for you! There is literally a shade for every one and unfortunately the collection isn’t permanent so you must act fast! Like they say it’s all about that “click” . . .

  1. The packaging is enough to sway me to pick up a couple of Tom Ford pieces. If only I had enough moolah to fund my cravings. What a beautiful sight, they make. Love your picks. Sweet Spot is such a beautiful color and it sounds like a must have. From the formula right down to its impressive lasting power. 🙂 Sugar Dune makes for the perfect nude everyday nail shade. Very chic. Fairy Godmother where are you at? 😀
