6 Alternative Routes

I would use the word “dupe” but alternative sounds much more fancy. I think all bloggers have the tendency to purchase similar products then realize it after the fact (points at self). I have 6 higher end products that I’ve found dupes for and will save you a couple of bucks . . .

Diptyque Baies $60 / Archipelago Botanics Pomegranate Citrus $24.50

This candle is a third of the price and smells exactly like Baies! If I was blind folded and had to smell them, I wouldn’t be able to tell which one is which. I was able to find this candle at my local Ulta on sale for $13, you can’t beat that!

Chanel Frenzy $27 / Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant in Always Naked $4.00

The CG polish (on the left) is just a tad lighter then Frenzy but the closest thing I’ve found to it. Both opaque in two coats and the CG polish doesn’t chip as fast as the Chanel one!

M.A.C Mineralized Concealer $20 / Maybelline Fit Me Concealer $3.99 

They might not be similar in shade but the texture and consistency are the same. They’re creamy, lightweight and light to medium coverage.

M.A.C 239 Brush $25 / Real Techniques Shading Brush $6

These brushes are similar in shape but both made of different bristle types. The M.A.C brush is natural hair while the RT is synthetic. The 239 is a bit flatter and wider but both provide the same purpose.

Tom Ford Lipstick in Bruised Plum $49 / M.A.C Darkside $15

I almost forgot which one was which because they’re identical, the swatch says it all!

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector $22 / Almay Liquid Lip Balm $4.99

Not similar in color what so ever right but they feel very similar. They both smell like yummy cupcakes and are the same concept, gloss-balm hybrids.
