I saw Lisa Eldridge feature this in one of her videos which she used during Fashion Week. I’ve been eyeing it up ever since and luckily I was able to test it out and give you my thoughts, primer is officially a must for me now! You can wear this under foundation or even on its own. It reminds me of the Origins Vita-zing Moisturizer, not the same product or finish but the similar concept of the tinted release. It’s not a foundation nor a tinted moisturizer but if you’re having a good skin day, you can get away with wearing this and some concealer. I found that the silicone in the primer does a good job of keeping my oily T-zone under control so I didn’t need powder when I wore it on its own. It comes in 3 shades Light, Medium and Deep. I chose the shade Medium which is a perfect match for my NC 35 skin tone. If you have pink undertones this might not work for you because it’s yellow based so keep that in mind. The packaging is plastic which makes it great for traveling with. One thing I can say is give it a good shake before you use it because it does separate in the container. I honestly can’t choose which way I prefer to wear the product because it’s excellent for both purposes. I’ve seen mixed reviews about this being good for drier skins but I have to disagree. I have oily combo skin and I always have to powder my T-zone, when I let it set it dried to a semi-matte finish so there was no need to powder. I think if you have any type of dry patches this will definitely cling to it. Throughout the day I saw a little bit of shine but nothing out of the norm. The consistency is a bit runny but don’t be put off by it, as you blend it in you’ll feel the formula start to change. I found the best way to apply this is with fingers, a brush will just soak up all the product and make it look streaky.
Overall I’m very happy with it and it has improved the way my foundation looks so worth the extra step in my routine. Even on days I’m running late this is great to just whack on and go! It’s nice that you’re able to use in multiple ways because it’s a bit pricey at $48. You can find it on dermstore.com and use the code BZDISCOUNT for 10% off + free shipping!
