DUPE Alert!!! I recently splurged on my first Deborah Lippman polish and I must say I was totally disappointed. First of all the shade Naked is a beautiful yellow based nude with a cream finish. You need three coats of this to get an opaque finish which I can’t be bothered with. I don’t know if all formulas are this way but you can see in the picture above that the polish applies unevenly and a bit gloopy. After I applied my top coat it looked perfect and had no streaks but I feel that for $19 the formula could have been better. After I applied it I dug up another nude polish in my collection from Nails Inc. in the shade Basil Street which I’ve reviewed here. It’s opaque with just two coats, applies smoothly and wear time is about a week before I start seeing any chips. Basil Street is $9 and probably one of the best nail formulas I’ve ever tried. The shades are very similar in color, Basil street is just a tad darker but not by much. Unfortunately the Deborah Lippman polish will be going back and I’ll stick with my Nails Inc dupe!
