Since switching out purses to my new Phillip Lim Mini Satchel I’ve really narrowed down my make-up bag to what I like to call my touch-up essentials. I’ve collected all my must haves just in case something were to go wrong. I tuck everything in a small clear pvc bag I got from M.A.C ages ago and makes it much easier to see where everything is. I forgot to include my touch up powder compact which is the Chanel Les Bieges in No20, such a beaut. For hair I will whip out the Oribe Dry Texturizing spray which I’ve mention here and here. I don’t fuss with my hair all too much but If I need a little pick me up this adds volume and texture plus it smells amazing! I also have a tiny bottle of the Ojon Rare Blend Oil if my hair is feeling dry.For my nails I carry around whatever polish is on my nails ( In this case Chanel’s Frenzy), a mini Seche Vite, and my OPI Avoplex Cuticle Oil. It’s wonderful to have with me if I’ve suffered a chip and need to repaint on the go. Now for my face once my make-up is on I don’t really come back to it all too much. I really just re-apply some more lip color and get the occasional oily T-zone that needs a bit of powder. I do carry extra products again just in case, I’ve had my fair share of mishaps guys! I have my Jouer Age-Repairing Brightener Concealer in Tan, blemishes do creep up during the day and the fact that it’s a stick makes it super easy to apply. I also bring my Hourglass Brow Sculpting Pencil in Dark Brunette to brush any wild untamed hairs back into place or to add more color if it wore off. I bring a Sephora Lash/Brow Comb more so for the comb part because I hate when my lashes clump together throughout the day! I always keep my mini Anastasia Beverley Hills tweezers on me because when your driving and the sun is beaming on your face, you suddenly see hairs that weren’t there before (odd?). I keep my EOS lip balm close especially now that winter is coming (did ya see my Game of Thrones reference?!). I keep my favorite lip color ever, Maybelline’s Color Whisper in Mocha Muse with me at all times. If I’m feeling a bit glossy that day I’ll opt for the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in 01. I carry one lip liner with me and that is M.A.C Stripdown liner which pairs perfectly with any of my everyday lip colors.
It’s really hard to keep my bag with just the minimal essentials, I am just one to lug crap around all the time. Surprisingly this works for me but lets just see how long it takes for me to fill my bag up with an abundance of lip products. Am I the only who suffers from separation anxiety when away from all her make-up?
