I’ve been trying a few bits from the Boots Botanic range. The products are infused with plant extracts which is what caught my attention. There are 5 different ranges which are the All bright (targeted for dull skin), Radiant Youth (anti-aging skin types), Organic (targeted for drier skin types), Ultra Calm (targeted for sensitive skin types), and Shine Away (targeted for oily skin types). I chose to test out the Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm from the organic range and the Cleansing Toner from the all bright range. These are their stories . . .
- Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm (muslin cloth included) – Enriched with nourishing Rosehip oil, this hot cloth cleanser deeply cleanses and smoothes. I found that the Rosehip oil helped a few breakouts I had going on my forehead. The cloth that was included was a bit scratchy but I can still work with it, I just stay away from the abrasive side. Overall very pleased with the results I’ve achieved, my skin is clear and very hydrated. I use this both morning and night as my cleanser. It’s great for breaking down face makeup as well. This is priced at $8.49 which is very reasonable considering the prices of the REN and Emma Hardie Cleansing Balms.
- Cleansing Toner All Bright – I tend to stay away from manual exfoliation and use AHAs (Alpha hydroxy acid) which mildly exfoliates to help leave skin smoother and brighter. This also contains Hibiscus extract which has brightening properties. This is for all skin types and works like a charm. I feel like my makeup lies on much smoother since I’ve started using this! I only use this at bedtime after I cleanse and before I moisturize. This is priced at $7.49 and can be found at Target.
If you are on the market for a new skin care line I highly suggest checking out the Boots Botanic Line. Its affordable, effective and there is something for everyone!
*Note: These happened to work for my skin type which is normal-combo so keep in mind that these products worked for me but they may not work for you! This is just my experience with the line that I wanted to share with you all.
