Summer is full of sunshine and bold lips! You can totally wear a bright lip all year round but to me I feel they’re more appropriate during the summer time. I adore fuchsias, pinks, and a orangey red. These colors are similar but all different in their own way. First up I have a newer release but I’m in love, Givenchy Le Rouge 309 Croisière Fuchsia. It’s apart of their summer collection and looks just like YSL’s Rouge Volupte Shine in 19 (the Lisa Eldridge Fuchsia lipstick). I swatched them in the store and YSL’s Fuchsia in Rage was a tiny bit shearer than Croisière Fuchsia but still very similar. I prefer the packaging of the Givenchy lipstick so thats why I opted for it. Its pigmented and hydrating at the time, it reminds me of M.A.C’s Lustre finish. I’ve actually been pairing this with Chanel’s cream blush in Fantastic which I reviewed here. Next up is an all time fav of mine and wear it all year round, M.A.C Lady Danger. This is so classy and just the most flattering universal red shade. It’s definitely a red-orange and just adds a bit of fun to your look. Lady Danger combined with a matte feline flick and you’re ready to conquer the world! So lets talk pink, I find that pink shades with cool undertones flatter my skin the best and I luuurve M.A.C Quick Sizzle. I believe this was a LE shade but you can find alternates. This is a beautiful bright pink with purple undertones. Its matte so I do add a bit of lip balm over top and I’m fine. I’m still trying to get the hang of the whole lip lacquer thing but Hourglass Liquid Lipstick in Muse is the exception! I did an entire post here and just adore it. Lastly another LE M.A.C shade in the color Heroine, A bright Ninja Turtle Donatello purple (is that even a color?). This color is so much fun to wear and you definitely get your fair share of stares but I say the hell with it! Bold lips are fun and make women feel confident, so go on with your bad self and don’t be afraid to inject some color onto your lips after all they’re an accessory too right?
