I am one of those girls who inherited the wolf gene from their father. I’m just a hairy gal what can I say . . . But being wolf-esk has its perks! I have been through my mishaps of awful overplucked, drawn-on, un-even brows until now. I love a bold brow, Cara Delevingne has the best brows on the planet and is my idol when it comes to thick brows. I think all the years from plucking my brows have caused them to be very sparse at the top so I have to fill them in. I do pluck them myself because I had a horrible waxing experience (chills)! Other than that I pretty much let them do their own thing. I have quite a few brow bits that I switch up depending on what look I’m going for.
My favorite way of filling them in are definitely brow pencils. They are super easy and some are retractable with spoolies on the ends to keep them in place. My HG is the Anastasia Brow Wiz. I find that it mimics the brow hairs perfectly with such a nice fine point, I have the shade brunette. MUFE brow pencil is another good pencil for just quickly filling in no fuss and stays put all day, I have shade 4. My most recent purchase is the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting pencil in Dark Brunette, the pencil is hard and waxy at the same time which is great. It also has a spoolie at the end which makes it purse friendly ! Now I know people are going to hate me for this but I cannot do the whole straight line concealer highlight under the brow! It’s not my taste but it works for most people. It’s too stark and I prefer a natural looking brow, just sayin! My favorite brow bone highlight is Burberry’s Sheer ES in Trench, it’s matte and just glides on to the skin. While were on the topic of powder, I do love a good powdered brow. My all time favorite is M.A.C Mystery eyeshadow and a 266 angled brush, it’s a good color match for black hair and looks natural. I also have Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Brunette, I use the lighter color for the front of the brow and the darker color for the rest of my brows. I only use powders if I’m going for a really strong brow or if I’m running late I like to take a M.A.C 239 and quickly brush some in for a more natural effect (picked up this technique from the pixiwoo sisters). I use Anastasia’s Brow Gel for when the hairs cannot be tamed or I want to add a bit of texture to the brows. I pluck with a mini tweezer from Anastasia as well. If you’re a noob to all of this my advise to you is to start with pencil and practice! No one has two perfect brows so remember that. I have the anatomy of the brow shape here as to where they should start and end. Brows that are too far apart or too long are not a good look. So gals embrace your wolf genes, our daddy’s have been very good to us!
