If you are a die-hard fan of Clarins Instant Lip Perfectors, head to your local pharmacy and pick up a few of these hybrid balms super fast ! I am all for a gloss/balm duo. I personally am not a big fan of lip gloss, shocker I know but true. I like a prefer a more grown up gloss such as the Chanel Glossimer, Burberry Lip Glow and Clarins LP. These glosses are not tacky or super shiny and come in an array of colors. I always go for a peachy coral or nude gloss. I can’t do bright pinks and reds, it’s just too loud for my taste. Getting back to the matter at hand, I came across these at my local Rite-Aid and was intrigued by the “liquid lip balm” advertising and decided to give them a try. I picked up Rosy Lipped which is just a neutral rosy brown shade and Cantaloupe Cream which is a true peach. These are both cream finishes and have no shimmer what so ever. There are a few shades with shimmer in them as I swatched a couple of them in the store, sorry I’m not sorry ! The range has 10 shades available. Of course nothing smells as incredible as the Clarins LP do but this is pretty damn near close if you ask me ! These lip balms smell incredible, I’d say a mix of vanilla and cupcakes sounds just about right. They have a doe foot applicator which is a bit small in my opinion and barely dispenses product, so I find myself dipping the wand back in a few times until I get a desired amount on my lips. They are sheer but still add a bit of color to the lips and once it sets it gives your lips this juicy healthy plump look and feel. They contain avocado and vitamin E oils for deep hydration. It is very comfortable to wear just alone or on top of a lipstick, I like to do both. They aren’t going to last a very long time due to the formulation, I got about a 2 1/2 hour wear before I had to re-apply. It really doesn’t bother me if I have to touch up lip products but for those who do you might want to take it into consideration. These are flippin amazing and are about $5 which is a total steal! If you can’t afford to splurge on Clarins LP this in my opinion is the closest thing I’ve found to it. I might even dare to use the word dupe. . . Oh yea I just went there !
