To add to my arsenal of highlighting powders I have Dior’s new illuminating powder. Dior has released it with the Pink Champagne Collection sold exclusively at NeimanMarcus. This is a limited edition product so if you’re interested in this grab one quick. It’s priced at $44 dollars and contains 10g of product. It comes in their beautiful velvet blue pouch which I think is great for protecting the packaging. People have a love hate relationship with the velvet sleeves that higher end cosmetics have their products in, I personally think they are great for storage and travel. The packaging is this sleek silver semi matte finish with the Dior embossment. The bottom half of the packaging is transparent which Dior has done in the past with other powder products. Inside the compact there is a decent size mirror and to the left is the powder, to the right is this thin foam applicator. I don’t see any use for the applicator, it’s hard and just shaped funny. Now the powder is a pinky champagne nude with a hint of gold to it. Its’s very subtle and beautiful when it captures the light. It has the word NUDE embossed at the lower portion of the powder. It has a very creamy texture when you swatch it and could easily be applied with fingers even. This definitely has a more natural finish than the infamous Dior Amber Diamond highlighting powder which is rumored to be discontinued now. This is a gorgeous highlight and will be perfect for spring/summer time paired with fresh dewy skin.
